Sue

I had tried a gym membership locally but found at 52 I felt old and often it was so crowded I never really enjoyed it. I have been recovering nicely from a long term illness that had taken away my muscle tone and strength due to long periods in bed. I came across SS60 and initially the locality for me was what caught my attention. I made an initial consultation and signed up there and then. I love going, it’s not just changing the way I look and feel about my body, but it’s become my weekly time to workout, chat and have a laugh. Working out with others helps my competitive side even though we all work at our own pace and encourage each other. I worried that joining a semi-private group I would maybe hold up others in the class. It’s planned so we are all doing different moves and at our own pace. Sara listens to me when I come in with aches and pains and works around the issue, couldn’t believe how many times I have gone in with lower backache, within five minutes it’s gone!

For the last four years on holiday I have worn a full swim costume with shorts, even to swim. My last holiday I was walking around in my bikini with no self conscious thoughts of how I looked. I have trimmed up nicely and it’s all down to the structure of my sessions. They are never the same, always something new to learn. I have always found exercise boring, looking at the clock to see where the end was but not anymore. I can honestly say I come out of the session feeling really vital and alive. Life feels better, I certainly feel better and I have made friends along the way. It was a big step for me to go see what Sara and Stephen were offering, I am so glad I did. As well as my body, I am sleeping better and best of all I am eating more and have a stable weight for the first time since my twenties. Thank you

Sue.
